Kid-ism? What is a Kid-ism? I look at it as the infinite wisdoms that kids impart upon us everyday that cause a giggle, a chuckle and an out and out laugh. You have experienced them, repeated them and remembered them when you needed a little pick me up. In the immortal words of the late great Art Linkletter,"Kids say the darndest things!"

Moms or mom moms; Dads or pop pops are loaded down with them: potty stories, telephone conversations, Sponge Bob quips...whatever they are we keep them close to our heart. They warm us and make us smile. That is what this blog is all about. I wanted to share some of my stories with you; share a piece of my sunshine and love with you. And I hope you, too, will feel free to share yours with me.

Let's get started sharing!!!

God's Greatest Gift

There's a scene in the movie Hook when Peter can't fly. He’s told to think happy thoughts. He tries and tries and tries to fly but he can't seem to get off the ground. Then Tinker Bell tells him to think about the  happiest thing that ever happened to him and he thought about the birth of his son. Off he flew, growing as he rose high in the sky. Now years ago while I was still young I would have said that, too. But now that I’m older I’d have to say that my happy thought involves my Grandson. Just ask any Mom mom or Pop pop and they’ll tell you that the best thing you will ever hear is when your grandchild says, ”Mom mom, I love you.”

O my God! Your heart swells. Your day has been made. Four little words full of the most sincere and innocent love. The greatest gift that God could give you. All your troubles just fall away. This little human thinks that you are “da bomb". What else could you ask for? They hang on your every word and tell you they will love you forever. They also tell you that you’re old. But that’salright because “Mom mom, I love you”. Even if you've never met them and huge differences separate you, they still love you and talk about wanting to meet you. And your heart swells…”Pop pop, I love you.”

I have 4 darlings that I call my grandbabies. Three live far away and one is around the corner. I love them all the same. I'd die for them; I’d fight for their future. On a light note, I also love to spoil the one around the corner. You know sugar him up, wind him up and send him home…a mother’s revenge 😉! I'd do the same with the others that live far away if I could…my daughter should be glad…lol. I wish I could give all the world but for now all I have is a lot of love! I hope when I say, “I love you, too" it means as much to them as it does to me!

Who could’ve thought that I'd be so lucky to receive one of God's gifts! All I had to do was get old!
