I walked into the Walgreens the other day and they were delivering Christmas trees. Did I miss Halloween? Did I sleep too long and it passed us by? OMG! Every year they start gearing up for Christmas earlier and earlier. by the time the real holiday gets here we are all sick of it. Now this year I get to spoil my 'Lil Man who will be 4 (what a great age for Christmas). Of course I am already looking for holiday bargains and gifts to contribute to that spoilage.
Yes I said spoil. I love it. This is my time of real revenge on my son who was the original messy Marvin. It was not beyond him to make a mess and try to hide it. Sometimes I wouldn't find these messes until they had dried or changed color making them indistinguishable. Now 'Lil Man is very capable of much the same. He has already made fast friends with "not me" and drops his name on any occasion that he deems necessary. "Not Me" was a very close friend of my son...not sure if this is the same one - could be his son - but he sure is a bad. Does all kinds of things that 'lil man gets in trouble for. It seems to me that there may be many of these kids - "Not Me" because I have dealt with him as a teacher as well with many ages of children. Hmmm really makes me wonder what he will do next, this "Not Me".
Kid-ism? What is a Kid-ism? I look at it as the infinite wisdoms that kids impart upon us everyday that cause a giggle, a chuckle and an out and out laugh. You have experienced them, repeated them and remembered them when you needed a little pick me up. In the immortal words of the late great Art Linkletter,"Kids say the darndest things!"
Moms or mom moms; Dads or pop pops are loaded down with them: potty stories, telephone conversations, Sponge Bob quips...whatever they are we keep them close to our heart. They warm us and make us smile. That is what this blog is all about. I wanted to share some of my stories with you; share a piece of my sunshine and love with you. And I hope you, too, will feel free to share yours with me.
Let's get started sharing!!!
